In 2008 the Royal Television Society awarded us the Best Independent Programme Award for our international documentary ‘The Goddess & The King’ for BBC2 produced in the UK and shot in Nepal.

Big Umbrella has proven, extensive experience in producing both television and radio programmes. We work in the UK, Europe, the USA, Asia and are currently developing links with Chinese broadcasters.

We’ve won a lot of awards for our work so it’s not just us who believe we can deliver quality!

Our development team are continually developing new factual and documentary formats for both UK and international broadcasters.

We’ve made programmes on location around the world, directed live and pre-recorded studios and numerous outside broadcasts including international sports awards programmes such as the Wisden Cricket Awards, broadcast live from Mumbai to over 50 countries.

We have contacts with the country’s most influential commissioners across a broad range of channels and have up to date intelligence about their current needs.
