Development Trusts Association
Currently in production is a DVD to raise awareness of the work of the Development Trusts Association.
The DVD will highlight the groundbreaking work that Development Trusts across the UK are doing to turn around some of the most deprived areas in the country.
Projects that will be highlighted include an estate in the Wirral which runs its own community radio station training young people as on-air and off-air talent, through a range of other innovative projects including childcare provision where Mums can leave their children in a creche while they catch up on some much needed rest in ‘sleep rooms’.
Other projects will include a community warden scheme in Hull that has contributed to reducing crime in one of the country’s most dangerous estates by half and the DVD will also feature the work of trusts in Scotland, Wales, the South West and London.
