British Gypsum Legal Compliance Training Tool

British Gypsum is a world leader in the supply of plaster and plasterboard selling annually over 1.2 billion m2 of plasterboard and 4.8 million tonnes of building plaster. That’s enough plasterboard every month to lay end to end from London to Sydney and enough bagged plaster every day to make a tower 35 times the height of London’s Canary Wharf!

Big Umbrella together with the leading firm of solicitors Shoosmiths has developed and produced a video for use on the Company’s intranet that will inform, support and test their sales force’s knowledge of Competition Law.

The video was fronted by British Gypsum’s Managing Director and futher sections were introduced by their Sales Director. Footage was shot in a plasterboard plant and their Midlands based training academy to make the videos directly relevant to British Gypsum staff.

Competition Law Compliance is of vital importance to anyone involved in sales and business. This video package is made up of various modules including accessible but detailed legal explanations from Shoosmiths’ lawyers, overviews of both UK and EU case histories from a leading City journalist and archive television footage of relevant news stories illustrating some of the most important test cases.

In addition to this Compliance Tool, Big Umbrella is developing a series of videos directly relevant to UK business. In partnership with Shoosmiths we are offering bespoke and branded training packages for video or online use adapted for any company’s direct needs, ethos and operational area.

The modules can be delivered in any video format or as a DVD, or divided into sections for use online within a Company’s intranet. Print material, online content and testing tools support the video.

We are now producing along the same model a Health and Safety training package and other subjects are being developed.
