The Big Umbrella development team is actively working up format, series and one-off ideas for both UK and international broadcasters. Our team, led by Head of Development Claire Campbell, is concentrating primarily on projects reflecting how we live today, and is pitching across all factual genres. We have good contacts with some of the country’s most influential commissioners across a broad range of channels with up to date intelligence about their current needs.
If you’re an agent representing great new talent, a production company in need of a co-producer or just an individual with an original and engaging idea, Claire and her team would love to hear from you for a creative and productive conversation.
We are a company of programme makers and believe in our programmes and our people - and not solely the bottom line. We are developing a community of producers both in the UK and internationally, who continue to work independently but co-develop and co-produce ideas with us.
Big Umbrella offers access to recognised Executive Producers, creative and effective production management, and fair and open splits on rights and production fees.
We qualify as a regional independent under the OFCOM and PACT guidelines.
